After the successful launch of Droid, Verizon asked our team to take a crack at their wireless work. We recognized the potential of high-speed signals and the emerging trend of users broadcasting on the go. So, we shifted the focus from the network itself to the users. The real power, we realized, came from the human bandwidth generated on these next-gen signals. That insight gave us their new mantra: Rule the Air.
This sparked an idea. The signal starts with the user, and every user has a unique signal. This visual concept became a recurring theme throughout the entire campaign.
Lastly, I had the great pleasure of designing the Rule the Air graphic that accompanied all the messaging. It visually tied the tagline to Verizon’s new lightning-fast network, reinforcing the campaign’s core message.
